Colorectal Cancer Screening Starts At Age 45

May 18, 2021 the United States Preventive Services Task Force published new guidance and recommends begining colo-rectal cancer (CRC) screening at the age of 45 years. Three years prior the American Cancer Society in 2018, lowered the age for commencement of colo-rectal cancer (CRC) screening from 50 years to 45 years of age. This guidance by the USPSTF brings their recommendation regarding screening for colon cancer in alignment with that of the American Cancer Society.
